Yes they can.

There are no storage lockers. You can leave your helmet in the storage are while you are gone provided you talk to the volunteer manning the desk. Any thing left overnight must be marked with the owners name, contact information and when they will return to pick it up.

Outside security. There is a door just to the left of Starbucks. Go up the elevator and follow the ribbon signs. You can't get lost since there us no one else on that floor.
